PLC100 converter

In Powerline Communication, data is transmitted and received by modulating a signal at the transmitter, which is then superimposed on the power supply voltage. This allows data to travel on the same wires as electrical power, eliminating the need for extra cabling. At the receiver, a filter separates the power voltage from the modulated signal, which is then demodulated to recover the original data for accurate monitoring and management. Powerline communication (PLC) can significantly reduce cost as no additional RS485 cabling is needed. The PLC100 converter is needed if you want to use this communication option for our DP225U and DP350U inverters.

Data exchange with the inverters is facilitated through Powerline Communication (PLC), offering a transmission range of up to 1000 meters. Integration with the management system is supported via RS485 or Ethernet, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficient system monitoring.

The DP225U/DP350U solar inverters feature an integrated PLC interface for easy powerline communication with Delta's PLC100 converter. This technology utilizes existing power lines, enhancing reliability. Additionally, they offer a hot-pluggable communication card with 2 RS485 interfaces, 6 digital inputs, and 2 potential-free contacts, allowing for flexible integration into monitoring and control systems. These versatile communication options make the inverters powerful solutions for modern energy installations.

The PLC100 converter can be easily mounted on a DIN rail in the junction box. A DIN rail for wall mounting is also supplied.
