Dynamic Power Control and System Monitoring with the P3 Power Meter
With energy costs on the rise, finding efficient solutions is becoming increasingly important for both today and future generations. At the same time, managing grid congestion is becoming more challenging, and basic on/off approaches are no longer sufficient. The future of energy demands smarter solutions - from dynamic power control to energy storage and real-time pricing strategies.
Delta's three-phase inverters, along with the DC1 Data Collector and the P3_120 Power Meter, provide a comprehensive solution for managing energy consumption. The 300 A P3 Power Meter offers high precision, delivering real-time insights that help align energy use with solar production. This enables effective management of self-consumption, overall energy usage, and feed-in power, enhancing solar performance. Delta offers the P3E/P3 power meters as expansion modules for three-phase grids. P3E/P3 are supplied with three current clamps to record the current flow in all three phases. P3E is for max. 120 AAC, P3 for max. 300 AAC.
The power meters monitor the phase current, allowing energy flows to be viewed in the DeltaSolar app or the MyDeltaSolar Cloud. This feature helps you monitor feed-in, energy usage, and self-consumption. The DC1 receives power from the power meter, either through a connected 3-phase inverter (RS485) or a separate micro-USB power adapter. In combination with the P3 power meter, the DC1 enables extended monitoring of energy flows to optimize energy consumption. With the DeltaSolar app for iOS and Android, you can connect directly to an individual inverter or to all of them simultaneously via the DC1. The energy flows are clearly displayed graphically - for all inverters together or individually.
