Delta Electronics EMEA, a leading company in the region, recently concluded its employee-only CSR initiative "Cycle and Plant Trees Together". Spanning from 5 June till 5 July 2021, this initiative aimed to encourage to improve personal health while accumulating kilometers that would translate into trees planted in Uganda.
The premise of our CSR initiative was simple yet powerful: By combining physical activity with environmental consciousness, our colleagues contributed to a meaningful cause. Through the partnership with One Tree Planted, each 10 kilometers cycled by the Delta EMEA team meant one tree would be planted in Uganda. This innovative approach not only fostered a culture of well-being within our organization but also directly supported reforestation efforts in regions that greatly needed it.
With the participation of people from our EMEA colleagues, we strive to protect and restore the Ugandan firest. Each tree planted through our initiative not only aids in stabilizing the climate but also serves a greater purpose. Indirectly, the trees provide work opportunities through agroforestry, helping fellow citizens attain sustainable livelihoods. By supporting the United Nations' global goals, our efforts align with a broader vision of social and environmental progress.
